Class descriptions

Hatha Yoga

Each class includes asanas (postures) to connect movement with breath, to build strength and flexibility and find space in our bodies and mind.  Each class also includes time for pranayama (breath practices), meditation and savasana (relaxation). My intention is that you leave the class feeling better in both body and mind.

Chair Yoga

These sessions include gentle movement, breath work and finish with a guided relaxation. The session can be done fully seated (sometimes options will be offered that include standing). 

Restorative yoga

These sessions provide an opportunity to rest.  In restorative yoga we use lots of props to support the body so that we can fully relax and release. Then we allow ourselves to be in poses for extended periods of times.  Practising restorative yoga allows us to shift from doing to being, to come into the present moment, to experience deep rest.
